It’s never been easier to find great local staff.

More than one million working-age Australians are reliable, dedicated and consistently overlooked. They bring real skills, strong loyalty and long-term commitment to the workforce. This is a powerful talent pool that many small businesses are still missing.

At ITA we help small and medium-sized businesses tap into this potential. Our mission is simple: support you to grow, thrive and stay competitive by building diverse, inclusive and committed teams, including people with disability.

We work across Greater Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Dalby, Chinchilla and Roma.

More than one million Australians with disability are work-ready today - what’s missing is opportunity, not ability.

Business owners & organisations

ITA helps businesses become more inclusive and stronger by showing them practical ways to include people with disability at work.

They take the time to understand where a business is at, then help put simple, tailored plans in place for inclusive hiring and a positive workplace culture.

ITA supports businesses to find, hire and keep great staff, including talented people with disability who are often overlooked.

We work alongside teams, offering clear advice, training and ongoing support, helping businesses build a more diverse workforce while improving staff morale, productivity and overall results.

Individuals with disability

ITA helps individuals, especially people with disability, figure out their strengths, passions and goals so they can live a life full of purpose, connection and real opportunities.

We offer personalised mentoring, life and career planning, and tailored workshops that boost confidence, build skills, and help people connect with community and work opportunities.

Through a strengths-based approach, we support people to explore inclusive education, meaningful roles, social connections and job pathways, helping turn goals into action and fostering genuine belonging in community life

Hands up if you’re a small business sick of hearing that skilled migration is the only answer to staffing shortages.

Mechanic Fixing Tire

The go-to solution for trade staff shortages is spending thousands to sponsor skilled migrants, but that’s not a real option for small businesses. The cost, red tape and delays make it unrealistic, leaving small operators without a practical, long-term workforce solution.

How's the current solutions working for you?

1

Tapping into the more than 1 million work-ready people with disability is a far more realistic solution to workforce shortages. It’s a local, skilled and motivated talent pool that is largely overlooked, and one that offers a sustainable, affordable alternative to costly short-term fixes.

A better option....

2

For small rural businesses, ITA offers a practical solution to chronic staff shortages. By helping employers tap into local, work-ready people with disability, they build loyal teams, reduce turnover and strengthen workplace culture, without the complexity or cost of big-city or corporate hiring models.

Ideal for small & rural business.

About us.

Inclusive Trade Alliance (ITA) was founded by Jade Burgmann. Over the last five years, Jade has opened 4 automotive workshops and 2 tyre-fitting garages across SouthEast Queensland, all focused on giving people with disabilities real opportunities in the trade industry.

As a small business owner, she knows the stress that comes with running a workshop, because she’s lived it.

Jade also knows how to work the system to find great staff and make the most of the financial benefits available when employing people with disabilities. She’s proof that doing good for the community can also make good business sense.

Recognising this gap, Jade created the ITA: Australia’s only dedicated disability employment initiative focused on the automotive and trade industries. The Alliance was built to help businesses hire inclusively and confidently, giving employers the practical tools, support, and industry insights needed to create safe, productive, and inclusive workplaces.

Jade is a passionate advocate for change and a recognised voice in the industry. She has been featured in leading automotive publications and has presented at major tradeshows across Australia, championing inclusion as a driving force for innovation and growth.

At ITA, we believe that inclusion isn’t a challenge to overcome, it’s an opportunity to build better teams, stronger businesses, and a more connected future for the trades that keep Australia moving.

“When we first met Marcus, we weren’t sure how it would work, we’d never employed someone with a disability before. Jade from ITA made it simple and gave us the right support. Now Marcus is one of us. He’s hardworking, positive, and brings great energy to the workshop. We’d recommend it to any business thinking about giving someone a go, it’s been a win for everyone.”
